Profile of Mary Dinah

Mary Dinah is the Founder and C.E.O of M.A.D Hospitality, a leading hospitality consulting firm focused on global hotel bookings and reservations. Mary acquired over 15 years of hospitality experience within some of the world’s leading hotel brands such as Hilton, Marriott, Four Seasons, Le Meridien and Sheraton. Her experience spans from front office, housekeeping, chef kitchen, training, sales, marketing, construction and event management. In addition to numerous awards, Mary received the much coveted Marriott Golden Circle Recognition for her outstanding achievement and contribution towards generating millions of Dollars in revenue at the Marriott London Sales Office. Her academic profile includes graduating with Distinction in MSc International Hotel Management from the University of Surrey which is rated Number 1 in Europe for Tourism. She is currently studying a Postgraduate Degree in Global Business at Oxford University.
Within Starwood hotels, she was appointed Food and Beverage marketing representative for all 49 hotels in Africa and Indian Ocean, while also Head of Marketing in charge of 5 hotels in Nigeria: Four Points by Sheraton Lagos, Sheraton Abuja, Sheraton Lagos, Le Meridien Port Harcourt and Le Meridien Ibom Golf Resort.
In 2009, after studying Entrepreneurship at Harvard University, Mary established M.A.D Hospitality, a London based firm which also has a presence in Lagos, Dubai and Texas, engaging in management of boutique hotels and service excellence training. The company has since grown and diversified into corporate hotel bookings with international clients which include Fortune 500 companies. M.A.D Hospitality has also been the lead consultant on numerous luxury hotel development projects in Nigeria and Ghana.
Mary’s core values are ‘non-sibi’ which is Latin meaning ‘not for oneself’. As an expression of her love for youths, the human resource department of M.A.D Hospitality was transformed into Job-Link Foundation, Nigeria’s first job centre, located in Lagos. Over the past 4 years, the company has built a growing network of over 1 million jobseekers. Job-Link currently has over 1,000 top employers as clients and has trained 3000 people on Employability Skills. The Foundation has been given 7 awards for its contribution to society and its efforts in alleviating poverty and unemployment. Recently, Mary was conferred as an Honorary Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Brand Management. She is a regular speaker on CNBC and has been featured in Forbes Africa. Recently she was invited to speak on a panel at BBC London and received a Social Impact Award from the British Council. Job-Link has partnered with Microsoft Philanthropies and recently launched Free online CV review clinics for youth nationwide, with expansion to West Africa in progress. The Mary Dinah Foundation, a subsidiary, also is a major giver in school feeding programs across Lagos, where poor children from low income families are given free food at school.

Mary is based in London, U.K. In her spare time she enjoys horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, squash and traveling the world. She has visited all 5 continents and has a strong following in the tourism, travel and hospitality industry.
